How to Use the Environment Hub
The Regional Environment Hub is both a resource and a service and the following section outlines how you can use both functions to benefit your organisation.
Use the Hub to Find Stuff Now
The Hub search is an online filter for accessing information and guidance on environmental poilcy and activity in the Yorkshire & Humber region.
It has been designed to make navigating through Local Authority, Statutory Agency, Central Government and local project websites easier and quicker.
Let's get Rummaging
The 3 box search system is not scary. It is tool for building up a specific & focused search by selecting categories and filters including audience, location and resource type. There is also a Flash guide to help you get the hang of things so press need help (just above box 3) and short demo will show you the way.
Plus don't worry if the categories don't match what you are after. You can always select text search in box 3 and use your own keywords to sift through what the Hub has to offer.
It Never Ends
The Hub's content is added to daily so please don't toss us casually aside if we didn't deliver on this occasion and instead let us know what you were after and how the site could be improved. Plus if you know of good content that we aren't linking to then please get in touch.
It's not all Search, Search, Search
As a new feature for 2006 the Environment Hub now offers Microsites (stand alone websites, created and maintained by the Hub) so if you have a project or organisation that would benefit from such services then check out the Microsites info page and maybe start to get excited.
