
The aims of the programme are as follows:
‘Promote and embed Green Infrastructure into contemporary thinking on sustainable development, by delivering a strategic range of interventions that focus on and enhance West Yorkshire’s environmental assets. This will further evidence the benefits of joined up planning in terms of linking ‘Places’ to ‘People’ and the long term economic and social value that will be derived from managing these enhanced environmental assets in an appropriate manner into the future.’
The contract with Yorkshire Forward is an ideal opportunity for the partnership to play to its collective strengths and build funder confidence in its ability to deliver.
The economic outputs are:
- 5 jobs safeguarded
- 13 jobs supported
- 189 businesses supported
- £1,214,000 in match funding
- 16 hectares of derelict land reclaimed for soft end use
- 1068 learning opportunities
- 5 National Vocational Qualifications.
In addition to the contracted outputs, the partnership will ensure high standards of delivery and partnership working throughout the programme and demonstrate transparent, audit proofed accounting procedures and reporting.
